Want to try something dazzling? My local delicatessen - Whizz Bang Pop - that operates out of Two Peas in a Pod on Barnes High Street, has started serving little punchy shots in a bottle containing lemon, ginger, honey & turmeric. It certainly packs a zing! They are AMAZING.
The active ingredient in turmeric is the curcuminoids, including curcumin. Research suggests that curcumin has a potent anti-inflammatory effect. When using turmeric in cooking, add a little black pepper (or piperine) to improve the absorption.
Recently Whizz Bang Pop have started adding cinnamon sticks to this punchy drink. I'm loving it.
Whereas if you're trying the above shot, just enjoy the zingy-ness and alert feel good feeling!
