Dark chocolate at 70-80% cocoa has been shown in early research to be beneficial to your gut microbes. Regular chocolate eaters were found to have healthy metabolisms and microbes over non chocolate eaters. Chocolate contains many compounds including beneficial flavonoids.
However this does not work for chocolate that is less than 70%, full of milk and sugar. So train those taste buds to enjoy the health benefits of dark chocolate.
